Connect and restore the Victa Mini on iPad

With payments.manage, open More → Settings → Hardware → Payment terminals. Configure the saved terminal or choose Add a payment terminal. Give it a recognizable name, select Mini or Portable, and enter its local IPv4 address and the 10-digit Ashrait ID supplied by Verifone. Choose Verify terminal identity: this reads the connected model and serial number without login, payment or Deposit. Check them against the intended physical device and explicitly confirm the identity before Save. A name or saved address alone does not prove which device is connected. A legacy configuration also requires this one-time verification. The ID stays masked and the catalogue is stored securely for this restaurant and API environment on this iPad. An unavailable or different physical identity blocks collection instead of selecting another terminal.

The first saved terminal becomes the default. The Default terminal option can change it; choosing another terminal for one payment keeps that default. Keep each device switched on and reachable on the local network. When the restaurant and permissions are restored, opening FoodyPOS or returning to the foreground retries the same idle saved connection; Test connection retries a failed attempt. An idle verified destination can change without restarting the application. An ongoing initialization, payment or uncertain deposit prevents changes.

Automatic reconnection sends no charge, transaction lookup or Deposit. Preserve the original device, configuration and journals when a payment or deposit is unresolved; do not erase data or downgrade to bypass a lock. Use the compatible POS and API on every device sharing a terminal. Physical Mini/Portable acceptance and availability of remote control on a Portable also running FoodyPOS must be checked with Verifone; these instructions do not certify that hardware scenario.

Choose Mini or Portable for this collection

On iPad, choose Card on the existing order or financial bill, review the payment-terminal dialog, and explicitly confirm Mini or Portable. The configured default is initially selected; there is no automatic fallback to another connected device. Cancelling sends no payment. On a Victa Portable running FoodyPOS, open that same saved order/check and use its integrated reader. Do not recreate the sale. A server reservation protects the physical terminal and the selected orders while collection is in progress. Another device or tender must wait. QR orders keep their separate IDs and payments.

If the result is unknown, preserve the original POS and terminal and recover the existing operation. Neither elapsed time nor restarting the app authorizes another debit. A definitive refusal or cancellation permits a new reviewed attempt. A confirmed approval must be recorded with its original reservation before it is released. This changes the destination review, not the existing receipt-printing settings; validate hardware, remote Portable operation and integrated printing with Verifone.
