Use the same product and unit for all four values. For different cases or pack sizes, first convert to kg, litres or pieces.

The three worked examples

A higher price

An agreement applicable to this delivery sets salmon fillet at ILS 70/kg. The invoice charges ILS 100/kg for the 10 kg received.

ILS 1,000 invoiced instead of ILS 700 at the agreed price: ILS 30 per kg, or ILS 300 to review for 10 kg.

A missing quantity

The invoice charges for 10 kg at ILS 40/kg. The receiving check finds only 9 kg.

ILS 400 invoiced against ILS 360 received: ILS 40 to review.

Price and quantity

10 kg are invoiced at ILS 44/kg. You receive 9 kg, with an agreed price of ILS 40/kg.

ILS 440 invoiced against ILS 360 received: ILS 80 to review, split into ILS 40 for price and ILS 40 for quantity.

Your price agreement is the reference

For your restaurant in Israel, you may negotiate an annual rate or a price valid for a defined period. Before comparing, find the agreement applicable to the delivery: product, pack size, unit, validity dates and any price revisions.

A supplier may manage several customer price lists. Applying the wrong list, missing a discount or reusing an old rate can create a discrepancy. Compare the invoice with your own agreement, then review explanations and credit notes with the supplier.

Why check invoiced prices?

Software vendor Supy reports that 22.7% of 1,265,531 invoices studied had at least one mismatch against the recorded reference price.

Platform sample, not an estimate for Israel. A mismatch does not prove error or intent.

How the total is calculated

Invoiced amount − received quantity valued at the agreed price = total discrepancy.

The price discrepancy compares the invoice with the same invoiced quantity at the agreed price. The quantity discrepancy compares that reference value with the quantity actually received. The two components add up to the total, without counting the same difference twice.

From calculation to receipt review

In Foody Kitchen, review the original document, product mappings, units, quantities and prices before confirming a receipt. Document analysis and delivery confirmation are separate steps. This public calculator cannot read or change your stock.

A few things you might be wondering

Does the calculator analyse my invoices?

This page offers three fictional cases with editable values. It does not upload invoices or analyse documents. Calculations stay in your browser.

Does a partial delivery mean an overcharge?

Compare the invoiced quantity with what was actually received. If 10 kg were ordered but only 9 kg were received and invoiced at the agreed price, this line has no financial discrepancy. Any outstanding order quantity is a separate matter.

What if units or VAT differ?

Convert quantities and prices to the same unit for the same product, and use VAT-exclusive amounts. Reconcile discounts, fees and credits separately before drawing a conclusion.
