Inviting and Managing Staff

Roles in Foody

Each staff member is assigned a role that determines what they can access.

RoleAccess
OwnerFull access: menu, orders, staff, billing, all settings
ManagerFull access except billing and owner-only settings
StaffFoodyPOS app (orders, tables) with limited FoodyAdmin access

Inviting a Team Member

Staff management is done in FoodyAdmin.

  1. Go to Staff in the sidebar.
  2. Click Invite Staff Member.
  3. Fill in:
    • First and last name
    • Email address
    • Role (Owner, Manager, or Staff)
    • A temporary password
  4. Click Invite.

The staff member receives an email with their login link. They can log in to FoodyAdmin (if Manager/Owner) or FoodyPOS (all roles) using these credentials.

Note: There is no PIN-based login. Every staff member logs in with their email and password.


Changing a Role

  1. Go to Staff.
  2. Click the staff member's name.
  3. Change the role from the dropdown.
  4. Click Save.

Only Owners can change roles.


Removing a Staff Member

  1. Go to Staff.
  2. Click the staff member's name.
  3. Click Remove and confirm.

The staff member loses access immediately on all devices.


Managing Roles and Permissions

For more granular control over what each role can do, go to Roles in the sidebar. You can adjust which sections and actions are accessible per role.
