Design the online ordering page

In Website choose the order page and switch between page and item-detail surfaces. Catalog data remains managed in Menu.

Choose menu layout and navigation

Select the displayed menu and desktop/mobile layout. Configure group banners, category navigation, prices and descriptions with the available controls. Menu groups control public ordering structure; internal categories do not create public sections.

Separate menus from their groups

In Website → Item list, menus available on this page (for example BASSARI and HALAVI) have their own underlined tabs when more than one exists. A tab shows only that menu’s items and groups. Category menu controls groups within the selected menu, such as Sandwiches and Drinks. Category menu style applies Plain text, Pill, Rounded or Underlined to groups on desktop and mobile. Menu tabs remain underlined. Long group headings wrap without widening the page; also check that the selected group is readable in the chosen color style. Hiding Category menu removes only the group links: menu tabs stay available. Category titles controls group headings in the list. Check both menus in preview, then publish and review the public link on desktop and mobile. If a tab is missing, check the Web channel, menus selected in Page settings, and visible items inside their groups.

Customize item details

In Website → Item list, open Item view. Compact presentation applies a 16:9 photo, compact width and rounded corners while preserving the assigned color style and saved framing. You can still choose the width, corners, image ratio and fit separately. An existing explicit ratio stays in effect until you change it; unconfigured photos default to 16:9. Full screen on mobile and Photo cover retain their mobile sheet shapes. The product photo starts at the top with a close button over it; items without photos reserve space for the same close control. Name, configured portion, price and description precede options. Quantity and Add to cart remain together at the bottom while the details scroll. The title and close control remain accessible after scrolling past the photo. Item colors come from its selected shared style: background, title, description, price, options, selections, footer and button remain independently editable in Site design. The quantity control uses the option surface and text colors. Preview shows the button colors without adding to a real cart. Verify variants, required choices, stock limits and notes, reload the draft, then publish and check the public page on desktop and mobile. Design does not change prices or ordering eligibility. Combos keep the same assigned item style; see building combos.

Place discovery content

Edit discovery heading, image position, card height/radius and panel colors. Choose its placement relative to the menu/group or after a number of items where supported. Preview empty and populated groups on mobile before publication.

Review mobile order entry

When the invitation is enabled, on mobile and desktop, verify that Order without an account is immediately visible and usable, with Sign in as an option. No address field or confirmation should appear before choosing. Check opening/closing sign-in and guest access: address entry for Delivery, collection details without a delivery address for Pickup. Back must retain the draft; switching services or reopening the dialog must not repeat the guest choice. Also check a signed-in customer’s validated address card and Edit. In a 360 px visual viewport with at least four results, four whole 44 px suggestions must remain visible. The title, tabs, Back and input keep their positions when the keyboard opens or closes. Check 320 px screens, desktop and French, Hebrew and English. Sign in opens Google and the email/password form. Facebook and Apple appear only when configured by the service. Standalone email-code sign-in is no longer offered. Account creation, address verification and password-recovery codes remain separate. Check dismissal and resumption without losing the draft on mobile and desktop; four whole suggestions with the keyboard open retain the same geometry. Sign-in choices must not reintroduce moving tabs or input. After choosing a deliverable address, verify the same Date/Time presentation as pickup and the fee calculated for that address. Test zero and paid fees in the restaurant currency. Automatic and time-pending modes retain their display without time selection.

Access the new controls

The entry sign-in invitation is controlled in Website → Order journey → Show the sign-in invitation on arrival. Off goes directly to pickup/delivery details; when on, Order without an account remains immediately visible. Save the draft and publish to apply this choice. See the journey setting. When the invitation is off, a discreet Sign in link remains available in the pickup or delivery dialog. It opens authentication only when selected; dismissing authentication retains entered details and allows ordering without an account.

Set menu and category text colors separately

In Site design → Colors, select the style assigned to Item list, then open Customize menu colors → Category menu. Menu text controls the names and underline of menu tabs, such as BASSARI and HALAVI. Category text controls unselected group links, search and its icons. The selected group keeps its active text setting. The two colors are independent: changing or resetting one field to automatic does not change the other. Without a chosen menu color, tabs use the style’s paragraph color when readable against the bar, otherwise a suitable light or dark text color. Check both levels in preview, reload to confirm draft saving, then publish and review desktop and mobile. If the wrong color appears, check the style assigned to Item list; the Wolt preset uses its dedicated palette.
