Combos and configurable formulas

Define the formula steps
Create the formula steps and eligible item choices. Set each step’s selection/quantity rules and review which variants/options can be configured.
Review formula pricing
Review base/formula prices and choice supplements in the pricing preview. Verify the resulting basket for several allowed combinations instead of assuming every choice has the same price.
Take a combo order
Select the combo and complete every required step. On a compact terminal with limited available width, Cancel Combo and Previous Step occupy the first row; Next Step or Add to order spans the row below. Previous Step appears after the first step. Next Step remains unavailable while the current choice is incomplete; Add requires every step to be satisfied. Scroll the grid to reach further choices. Review components, note and price before adding; an eligible existing-line edit is confirmed with Done. Cancel discards provisional choices without adding the combo. Tablets and sufficiently wide areas retain a single row of buttons. This adaptation changes neither selection limits, surcharges nor permissions. Check kitchen presentation separately on the intended channel.
Make a one-order combo exception
With orders.manage permission, open New order or edit a saved order in Admin and open its combo composition. In the relevant step, select Choose another item. Remove one selected unit first if the step is full, search the restaurant article library and choose the replacement and its size. Exception · included identifies the choice. Active fixed-price individual items are eligible, including items outside the active carte; inactive, sold-out and weight-priced items and other combos cannot be used. Required step quantities, per-item limits and configured portions still apply. Save the combo, review the ticket and submit once. For example, replace the beef in a two-main Mamie formula with fish while retaining chicken. The replacement and its size add no surcharge; other normal configured choices keep their existing surcharges. The formula base price and saved definition do not change, and editing an existing order preserves its original base-price snapshot. The choice survives draft restoration and reopening the order editor. Guests cannot request this exception. If rejected, refresh availability and choose an active item in an allowed size; a failed saved-order replacement retains the previous composition.
Build a combo on the restaurant website
Open a combo in the website menu. Its sheet uses the item-detail color style, site fonts, corners and button shape. Choose the quantity when offered, then Build your combo. The catalogue keeps its presentation throughout composition; only eligible, available items for the current step can be selected. Tap an item, then choose a variant if requested. The counter shows your picks; the − button removes a pick. Previous step lets you review a choice, and View details opens the sheet without clearing the composition. Complete the steps and add the combo to the cart. Cancel leaves composition without adding a combo. A fixed combo lists its contents and adds directly from its sheet. If a choice is disabled, check its step membership and availability. For incorrect colors, check the item-detail style assigned in the order page and publish the reviewed settings.
