Setting Up Floor Plans

What Is a Floor Plan?

A floor plan is a visual layout of your dining area. It shows which tables exist, where they are, and lets FoodyPOS staff tap a table to open or manage an order for it.

Floor plans are only used in Table Mode. If you're running Counter Mode, you don't need a floor plan.

Creating a Floor Plan

Floor plans are created and edited in FoodyAdmin.

  1. Go to Restaurant → Floor Plans.
  2. Click New Floor Plan.
  3. Give it a name (e.g., "Main Room", "Terrace", "Bar").
  4. On the canvas, add tables:
    • Click Add Table to place a new table.
    • Give each table a name or number (e.g., T1, T2, Window, Bar).
    • Drag tables to position them on the canvas.
  5. Click Save.

You can create multiple floor plans for different areas of your restaurant (indoor, outdoor, bar counter). All floor plans appear as tabs in FoodyPOS.

Using Floor Plans on FoodyPOS

  1. Open FoodyPOS.
  2. Tap the Tables tab.
  3. Your floor plans appear as tabs at the top.
  4. Tap any available table to open a new order for it.
  5. Occupied tables are highlighted to show they have an active session.

Editing and Reordering Floor Plans

In FoodyAdmin → Restaurant → Floor Plans:

  • Click a floor plan name to edit the canvas layout.
  • Drag floor plans in the list to change the tab order in FoodyPOS.
  • Click Delete to remove a floor plan (only if there are no active orders on it).

QR Codes Per Table

Each table in a floor plan has a unique QR code. Customers scan it to open your ordering page pre-selected to that table.

To access QR codes: open a floor plan in FoodyAdmin → click a table → Download QR Code.
