Preorders, slots and batch cycles
Admin → Settings → Order taking → Preorders
Choose the intake policy
In Orders & availability, choose Immediate orders, Scheduled orders or Both. Scheduled orders require a receiving date, including today; this does not mean future dates only. Ready products also obey that calendar. Set pickup and delivery separately. Restaurant service hours and exceptional closures remain the common framework; product-specific preparation replaces the default preparation time. Delivery zones restrict coverage and days and configure same-day delivery. Weekly batches keep their separate ordering and receiving calendar.
Configure date/time slots
Choose Date and service calendar. Set default preparation, the preparation clock, booking horizon and slot duration. Default preparation applies only when the product has no preparation time of its own. Slot duration is the length of a selectable receiving window, not transport time. Restaurant delivery hours, closures and product readiness still apply when a zone permits a day. A zone can have a different time-choice mode for advance orders and same-day delivery. Specific booking windows, when retained, override regular service hours; review them before choosing Use service hours. The collapsed Default calendar preview excludes basket, address, zone rules and transport and is not a delivery promise.
Configure a batch cycle
Set ordering opening, cutoff and fulfillment days/windows for the cycle. Review pickup and delivery windows separately and inspect the generated cycle preview.
Check payment and product exceptions
Review the prepayment policy and product-specific exceptions. Save, reopen settings and test the published guest path without making a live payment as a test.
Open the current weekly batch automatically
For a restaurant configured for weekly batches, open Home or Orders using the Série date basis. The current batch is selected by default even without orders; its totals then stay at zero. It advances after the previous batch’s final fulfillment day in the restaurant timezone, without waiting for the first order or for ordering to open. An open page follows this change on the next automatic refresh (about one minute) or when you return to the tab.
You can select an older service in the calendar; that selection stays in place while the page is open. An order for a later week does not replace the current batch as the default. A payment-attention link keeps its explicit period. If the date looks incorrect, check the configured fulfillment days and restaurant timezone, then reload. Rollover does not create an order or publish a menu.
Control weekly ordering manually
Weekly batch restaurants can choose Manual opening under Settings → Ordering & delivery → Orders & availability, with settings.edit. Save, then explicitly open or pause online orders using the pause control. Automatic opening/cutoff times do not control intake in this mode. Delivery days/windows, the restaurant timezone, preparation and stock rules remain in effect; existing orders are untouched. The website stays browsable during a pause. Active temporary test access must be disabled before reopening publicly. See the fulfillment settings guide for the complete procedure. For optional same-day delivery, review the Delivery zones and schedules guide with compatible API, Admin and guest versions: the customer may choose only the day, see an estimate before payment and receive a restaurant-confirmed time later. Future bookings retain their configured mode. The restaurant’s local date determines same-day rules.
Simulate an order
With the date/service calendar active, save changes then open Simulate an order. Choose Order date and time in the displayed restaurant timezone; the weekday is shown below. Now reloads the current server time. Choose pickup or delivery, receiving date, products and quantities, and a full address for delivery. Address suggestions appear after three characters; select one with the keyboard or pointer and wait for resolution before checking availability. If suggestions are unavailable, enter the full address manually; the server still verifies coverage. Receiving cannot precede the ordering day; moving the order later advances an earlier receiving date. Check availability applies preparation, service hours, booking horizon and same-day rules at this reference time. It reports the zone/fee, preparation reference, applicable transport, estimated range awaiting confirmation or selectable slots, and the next available date. Current saved rules and ready stock are used even for a past reference: historical stock and courier availability are not reconstructed. Nonexistent or repeated daylight-saving times require another time. Changed input hides the old result; unsaved restaurant changes block simulation. Settings, menu and order-management permissions are required. This checks calendars, not menu publication, options or final stock/payment eligibility; it creates no order, stock reservation, payment or notification.
