Order Types

Overview

Foody supports four order types. You choose which ones your restaurant accepts from FoodyAdmin → Restaurant → Workflow Settings.

Dine-In

Customers sit at a table and order through a staff member on FoodyPOS, or by scanning a QR code at the table.

• Requires Table Mode to be active (see Service Mode).
• Orders are tied to a table number.
• The order stays open until the bill is closed.

To enable: Table Mode is on by default. You can enable QR dine-in from Workflow Settings if you want customers to self-order.

Pickup

Customers order ahead (online or at the counter) and collect at the restaurant. No table assignment.

• Used in both Counter Mode (staff takes the order in FoodyPOS) and online via the QR/web ordering page.
• A pickup time can optionally be shown to the customer.
• Configure Pickup Prep Time (in minutes) in Workflow Settings so customers know when their order will be ready.

To enable: Go to Restaurant → Workflow Settings and toggle Pickup on.

Delivery

Your restaurant handles its own delivery (or via Spoke integration).

• Delivery orders come in through the QR ordering page or a manual entry on FoodyPOS.
• You can configure a minimum order amount for delivery.
• Spoke integration: if you use Spoke for delivery, connect your API key in Settings → Spoke Delivery.

To enable: Go to Restaurant → Workflow Settings and toggle Delivery on.

Scheduled Orders

Customers choose a specific date and time window for their pickup or delivery order.

• Scheduled orders appear in the Scheduled Calendar view on FoodyPOS.
• Each order has a pickup window (e.g., 13:00–13:30).
• Staff can view the day's scheduled orders and prepare accordingly.

To enable: Go to Restaurant → Workflow Settings and toggle Scheduled Orders on.

Full-service restaurant (dining room)	Dine-in only, or dine-in + QR
Café or quick service	Counter Mode + Pickup
Restaurant with takeaway	Dine-in + Pickup
Delivery operation	Pickup + Delivery + Scheduled
Ghost kitchen	Pickup + Delivery + Scheduled

You can enable multiple order types at once.
