Order online as a customer

Open the restaurant’s public link or select a branch from its chain page.

Review the by-weight authorization ceiling

For online by-weight orders, open Settings → Payments & VAT with settings.edit. Set Weight hold buffer % from 0 to 100 and save; the default for new restaurants is 20. A failed save keeps the draft. Zero still authorizes the estimate. Only the weight-priced subtotal gets a margin: 100 weighted + 50 fixed at 20% authorizes 170; delivery has no extra margin. Checkout shows the estimate, temporary ceiling and Confirm and authorize, in the restaurant theme. A changed ceiling requires customer review and another confirmation before payment; unknown policy blocks authorization. Existing reviewed checkouts and holds keep their ceiling. Staff confirm measured weights before capture and progression; excess beyond the hold is flagged for a separate payment, never automatically charged. Cash/pay-later makes no hold promise. Requires a configured authorize/capture provider, with partial capture, release and expiry validated before production. This neither changes the catering deposit/balance policy nor enables new-card saving with a CST weighted hold.

Choose a menu, then a group

If the restaurant offers several menus on the page, select their tab, such as BASSARI or HALAVI. Only the selected menu’s groups and items appear. Pills or links underneath navigate to its groups, such as Sandwiches or Drinks. Search and the availability filter apply to this menu. A search with no results keeps menu tabs visible; switching menus clears the search. Browsing another menu keeps the basket. If an item is missing, try another menu or clear the search; visibility also depends on availability and publication. For a combo, open its sheet and choose Build your combo: the menu keeps its theme while selecting items. Use the counter and − button to review or remove a pick, then complete the steps before adding to the cart. See website combos.

Build a basket

Choose pickup, delivery or table ordering when offered, select the active menu and open an item. Its sheet shows the configured portion, price, description and available photos. Choose a variant, required modifiers and allowed notes. Quantity and Add to cart stay together at the bottom while you scroll through the details; the total follows your quantity and choices. The title and close control remain available after the photo scrolls away. Close without adding to discard the current selection. If adding is unavailable, complete the required choices or review the displayed availability. Review and edit the basket before checkout. A customer assistant suggestion needs the same required choices and availability checks.

Choose an address on a phone

In the ordering dialog, choose Delivery and enter the street, house number and city. If address search is enabled, scroll the suggestions and tap the complete address. Selecting a street still requires its house number and keeps the keyboard open. A complete address dismisses the keyboard; review any offered times and tap Confirm address. The button stays disabled while checks run or delivery is unavailable. For pickup, choose Pickup then Confirm pickup. The cross at the top closes the dialog. Account access remains optional. If no address matches, refine the number or city; if the service fails, retry or contact the restaurant. On mobile, Pickup and Delivery tabs, the field and the Sign in link at the top keep their positions when the keyboard opens or closes. Compact suggestions show the address and city on two lines in a larger scrolling list. During search, confirmation leaves room for suggestions; it appears after choosing a complete address. The cover is reserved for larger screens. Google Maps attribution and errors stay visible. After choosing a street, add the house number in the same field and choose the complete address suggestion. A street alone cannot confirm delivery.

Choose contact and fulfillment

Enter the requested contact details, address or pickup time. For delivery check zone, fee and offered slot; for preorder/tour links follow their specific deadline/date. The final checkout revalidates current rules and prices. Once the address is checked, review the displayed delivery fee and choose Date and Time using the same controls as pickup. The zone limits weekdays; restaurant settings supply slot times and duration. Automatic mode assigns the next slot. When time needs restaurant confirmation, no time picker appears and tracking will show the confirmed time. Changing the address or basket rechecks availability; wait for the check before confirming. With compatible versions, delivery same-day days, transport and time confirmation are configured inside each zone. Restaurant hours and product preparation remain mandatory. Scheduled orders can include today. Staff can test saved basket/address calendars in Orders & availability → Simulate an order; this creates no order or message.

Pay and verify confirmation

Choose an offered payment method, review total and follow the secure payment flow. Wait for the verified order result. A rejected/pending payment is not a confirmed paid order; keep its reference and ask restaurant support before paying twice.

Sign in before ordering

Under Sign in, use Google or your email and password. Facebook and Apple appear only when configured. Standalone code sign-in is removed; address-verification and password-recovery codes remain separate. Older accounts without a password can use Forgot password to set one. Checkout offers the same configured providers alongside email/password; only the payment action submits inline enrollment. Guest access remains available, and card saving still needs separate consent.

Access the new controls

The entry sign-in invitation is controlled in Website → Order journey → Show the sign-in invitation on arrival. Off goes directly to pickup/delivery details; when on, Order without an account remains immediately visible. Save the draft and publish to apply this choice. See the journey setting. When the invitation is off, a discreet Sign in link remains available in the pickup or delivery dialog. It opens authentication only when selected; dismissing authentication retains entered details and allows ordering without an account.

Check conditional item choices

An item configured with repeated positions requires one separate choice per position according to the selected format. For example, a two-character Number Cake accepts 11, AB or A7. The format price replaces the base price; modifiers add only their configured surcharges. Reducing the position count removes newly hidden choices. Positions remain distinct in the cart, orders and kitchen ticket; review them before confirming. These customizations do not change delivery, availability, recipe, discount or cancellation rules. Enter a valid contact phone

Before submitting an order or catering request, enter a complete phone number. In checkout Contact and payment, the initial calling code follows the restaurant country: +33 for France, +972 for Israel, and so on. Choose another calling code for a foreign number, or paste an international number starting with +. Catering assumes Israel for local numbers; foreign numbers need + and their country code. Spaces, dashes and parentheses are accepted; the saved value is international, for example +972502345678. Incomplete numbers, invalid prefixes, letters and extensions block submission and require correction. Phone remains optional for table orders where the form permits it; a supplied number must be valid. Format validation does not check WhatsApp registration. Any SMS verification code still follows the restaurant setting.

Control weekly ordering manually

When a restaurant manages weekly ordering manually, its team opens and pauses orders without an automatic reopening time. You can still browse the menu during a pause. When ordering is open, choose one of the offered delivery/collection dates; manual opening does not remove product preparation, stock, payment or delivery requirements. Orders already confirmed retain their saved date and status. If ordering is paused, wait for the restaurant to reopen it rather than relying on a displayed weekly opening time.

Product photos

An item can show several photos. See Product photos for adding photos, selecting the cover and using the dots, arrows or horizontal swipe in product details. A single photo has no gallery controls.

Prepared basket and restaurant presentation

A private Sumit prepared-order link enters the restaurant’s existing cart, then its checkout with the published colors, fonts and fields. The personal browser basket is retained; prepared items, prices and date stay fixed. Contact details and requested answers belong to this order, without loading an account or saved card. Custom answers bind when payment first opens. Delivery fees are recalculated and reviewed before payment. See the Sumit procedure.

Use cash with an optional card guarantee

For pickup or delivery, an eligible customer selects Cash payment with card guarantee, reviews the exact reservation amount and explicitly accepts its reservation and collection if the order remains unpaid in cash. The customer enters the card on the hosted Stancer page and completes any bank authentication. Foody confirms the order only after checking the authorization with Stancer. The sale remains unpaid: the card reservation is not cash received or a completed card sale. This version supports fixed-price orders for service within six days. Weight-priced orders and later service dates must use another payment method. If the amount changes, review the updated basket and agree to the new amount. Stancer documents seven days for an uncaptured authorization; a Payment Intent’s lifetime is a different concept.

Acceptance and recovery: cash card guarantees.

Leave an optional choice empty

In a compatible product sheet, Required needs a choice in every visible position before Add to cart. A group marked Optional may remain empty. After selection, Clear choice removes only that position and its associated note; other positions and the format price remain intact. A required note attached to a selected option must still be completed. Review the choices in the cart before confirming. For optional same-day delivery, review the Delivery zones and schedules guide with compatible API, Admin and guest versions: the customer may choose only the day, see an estimate before payment and receive a restaurant-confirmed time later. Future bookings retain their configured mode. The restaurant’s local date determines same-day rules.

Review independent confirmations

Your order tracking distinguishes payment, preparation and recorded handoff, including partial handoff. Not tracked differs from unknown evidence. An unknown monetary value is not zero and does not offer a guessed payment. Other guests’ QR orders at the same table remain separate and are not exposed by this view. See order states.
